After watching Chris Marker’s 1962 film La Jetée, students worked in groups of four to create their own film inspired by Marker’s unique way of creating a moving picture using still images. They had to create their own story and script, visualizing their concept through storyboards and taking approximately 200 photographs to make a five-minute film. Students combined their images with music using Adobe Lightroom Classic. The most conceptual of the works submitted, this group used their story to examine the liminal space of dreaming and how it wafts back and forth into perceived reality.
